Well yes, Mercedes Benz again, always a reason why they can’t win, if somebody comes with something better, they take the easy way out, judge by your self’s.  Below  are the comments from Mercedes Benz, are they for real?

Mercedes have revealed that they could have pulled out of F1, had it not been for the new engine regulations.

Professor Dr Thomas Weber told BBC sport “The key challenge for the future is fuel economy and efficiency and with the change in regulations F1 is the spearhead for development.”

“We had at different times the challenge to discuss F1 with the (Daimler) supervisory board. We had hard discussions. And it was always – and even more so when it came to the later years – harder to explain why we were using naturally aspirated engines.”

“Now with these new regulations I can clearly convince the supervisory board that the (F1 team) are doing exactly what we need – downsizing, direct injection, lightweight construction, fuel efficiency on the highest possible level, new technologies and combining a combustion engine with an e-motor hybrid.”

And what about BMW, they claim they are the driver’s car, but could never make anything work in an F1, so how can they claim they are the driver’s car, please do not make me laugh.  If you, yes you “BMW” make that statement, then show us in the top racing sport which is F1, but you failed and left with your tail between your legs. “Shame on you”

McLaren’s turn, need more excuses?  You lost for 4 years in a row, they have a chance to do something, but they worry about making statements, and yes trying to make things difficult for others, I taught this is the way out for the weak ones.

McLaren, Red Bull in legal dispute over aero expert

LONDON – McLaren consulted their lawyers on Wednesday after Formula One champions Red Bull announced the appointment of an aerodynamics expert their rivals said was contracted to them.

Red Bull said Dan Fallows has been appointed head of aerodynamics, replacing McLaren-bound Peter Prodromou who is now on ‘gardening leave’.

The statement drew a swift response from McLaren, who announced at their car launch in January that Fallows had joined along with Prodromou. “Dan Fallows has a legally binding contract with McLaren, and the matter is now in the hands of our lawyers,” said a spokesman for the Working team.

Red Bull said Fallows had left them last year after working as aerodynamics team leader but had returned and was starting his new job with immediate effect.

McLaren announced last October that Prodromou would be joining them but Red Bull, constructors’ champions for the past four years, were determined to hold the much sought-after Briton to his contract.

They did not say when his leave would formally end.

Prodromou was McLaren’s head of aerodynamics until 2006, having joined that team in 1991, when he followed Adrian Newey to Red Bull.

McLaren have changed their leadership since Fallows agreed to join, with Ron Dennis retaking overall control and Eric Boullier appointed racing director in place of departed Principal Martin Whitmarsh.

The team started the season with a second and third place in Australia for Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button, pending an appeal by Red Bull who had Australian Daniel Ricciardo disqualified.

Red Bull have won the last four constructors’ and drivers’ championships, with Sebastian Vettel triumphant in the last nine races of 2013, but have started the season chasing dominant Mercedes.

McLaren failed to finish on the podium last year.

I been following F1 for longer then the majority of the F1 paddock today, not only that I have been to many tracks worldwide since I was 8, I saw the great drivers drive all over the world.

Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Johnny servoz-Gavin,  Jack Brahbam, Pedro Rodriguez,  James Hunt, Jackie Ickx, Jochen Rindt, Francois Cevert, Henry Pescarolo, Chris Amon, Peter Revson, Piers courage,  and many others, does where F1 Drivers,  they knew the risk, they raced for the passion of it.  In my opinion, the greatest driver of this generation are Ayton Senna, Michael schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, all others come after.

This is my humble opinion.

Almost all Drivers today, if they do not win they always have a reason, but it’s never them.  Particularly,  Nico Rosberg, Luis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. Why don’t you stop talking about Vettel, and worry about you and your machinery, would it be that you are not good enough?  Could it be that they cannot set up the car properly? It makes you look ignorant.

Right now Mercedes Benz has the most powerful engine on F1, take advantage and see if you can win the championship.  Renault is not born yesterday, they know how to build engines and they have a huge record doing so.

I love F1, Let the war begin.

I leave  you with this.

What can we say of one of the most exotic brands of automobiles in the world.
They new lineup is aggressive, sexy looking and the exhaust note, yes, the exhaust note is unbelievable.

Maserati (Italian pronunciation: [mazeˈraːti]  is an Italian luxury car manufacturer established on December 1, 1914, in Bologna. The company’s headquarters are now in Modena, and its emblem is a trident. It has been owned by the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A. since 1993. Inside the Fiat Group, Maserati was initially associated with Ferrari S.p.A., but more recently it has become part of the sports car group including Alfa Romeo.

Maserati has a long history, that is manufacturing high end automobiles or racing. Actually they have just reach their 100 year anniversary, congratulations.

My self I owned  a beautiful Merak SS, Silver / Black, 6 Cal 4 cam.  and 2 Quatroportes 1987 and 1988, And Also I owned a Biturbo Sand convertible, they where the ugly ducklings, but when they worked they where very fast. The turbos failed often, till I decided to replace all of them, then a miracle occurred, they run and run with no problems.

Maserati  started A year-long celebration beginning today will mark Maserati’s Centennial, a century of success lived to the full in the spirit of “The Absolute Opposite of Ordinary

A FAMILY PASSION

The Maserati story is first of all the story of a family: Rodolfo Maserati, a railroad worker during Italy’s period as a monarchy, Carolina Losi and their 7 children. In those days, working near the “iron steam horse” wasn’t for everyone. Rodolfo is, in a certain sense, a man of the future: the Maserati brothers inherited their passion for speed from him. By the turn of the new century the family is complete: the youngest son Ettore is born in 1894, whilst the eldest son Carlo, born in 1881, has already begun his career.

If you are a Maserati Lovers, go here and enjoy their history:  http://corporate.maserati.com/history/

The Maserati brothers, Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ettore, and Ernesto were all involved with automobiles from the beginning of the 20th century. Alfieri, Bindo and Ernesto built 2-litre Grand Prix cars for Diatto. In 1926, Diatto suspended the production of race cars, leading to the creation of the first Maserati and the founding of the Maserati marque. One of the first Maseratis, driven by Alfieri, won the 1926 Targa Florio. Maserati began making race cars with 4, 6, 8 and 16 cylinders (two straight-eights mounted parallel to one another). Another Maserati brother, Mario, an artist, is believed to have devised the company’s trident emblem, based on the Fontana del Nettuno, Bologna.

Alfieri Maserati died in 1932, but three other brothers, Bindo, Ernesto and Ettore, kept the firm going, building cars that won races.

Orsi ownership

In 1937, the remaining Maserati brothers sold their shares in the company to the Adolfo Orsi family, who in 1940 relocated the company headquarters to their hometown of Modena where it remains to this day. The brothers continued in engineering roles with the company. Racing successes continued, even against the giants of German racing, Auto Union and Mercedes. In back-to-back wins in 1939 and 1940, a Maserati 8CTF won the Indianapolis 500, the only Italian manufacturer ever to do so.

The war then intervened, Maserati abandoning cars to produce components for the Italian war effort. During this time, Maserati worked in fierce competition to construct a V16 town car for Benito Mussolini before Ferry Porsche of Volkswagen built one for Adolf Hitler. This failed, and the plans were scrapped. Once peace was restored, Maserati returned to making cars; the Maserati A6 series did well in the post-war racing scene.

Key people joined the Maserati team. Alberto Massimino, an old Fiat engineer, with both Alfa Romeo and Ferrari experiences oversaw the design of all racing models for the next ten years. With him joined engineers Giulio Alfieri, Vittorio Bellentani  and Gioacchino Colombo. The focus was on the best engines and chassis to succeed in car racing. These new projects saw the last contributions of the Maserati brothers, who after their 10-year contract with Orsi expired went on to form O.S.C.A. This new team at Maserati worked on several projects: the 4CLT, the A6 series, the 8CLT, and, pivotally for the future success of the company, the A6GCS.

The famous Argentinian driver Juan-Manuel Fangio raced for Maserati for a number of years in the 1950s, producing a number of stunning victories including winning the world championship in 1957 in the Maserati 250F alongside Toulo de Graffenried, Louis Chiron, Prince Bira, Enrico Platé, and a few others. Other racing projects in the 1950s were the 200S, 300S (with several famous pilots, among them Benoit Musy), 350S, and 450S, followed in 1961 by the famous Tipo 61.

Maserati had retired from factory racing participation because of the Guidizzolo tragedy during the 1957 Mille Miglia, though they continued to build cars for privateers. After 1957, Maserati became more and more focused on road cars, and chief engineer Giulio Alfieri built the 6-cylinder 3500 2+2 coupé, which featured an aluminum body over Carrozzeria Touring’s superleggera structure, a design also used for the small-volume V8-powered 5000. Next came the Vignale-bodied Sebring, launched in 1962, the Mistral Coupé in 1963 and Spider in 1964, both designed by Pietro Frua, and also in 1963, the company’s first four-door, the Quattroporte, designed by Frua as well. The two-seat Ghibli coupé was launched in 1967, followed by a convertible in 1969.

Also for many of you that did not know, at one point or another Maserati was also own by Citroen, De Tomaso, Fiat, then in July 1997, Fiart sold 50% of ownership to Ferrari. Which was Maserati archenemy for years. In 1999 Ferrari took 100% control of Maserati. IN 2002 Maserati came back to the US,   but In 2005 Maserati was split off from Ferrari and merged with Alfa Romeo under Fiat Auto

Congratulation Maserati, from a great fan and I leave you with this.  Forza Italia….

Mazzanti Evantra

Automobiles, what can we say, it is an addiction for people like us.   Now is not stop to the amazing automobiles been build.

Look at this superb beautiful Mazzanti Evantra,  this is an astonishing machine. hand made, fast, elegant and aggressive.

this is the philosophy of  the owner.

Evantra philosophy

” The creation of each Evantra is a unique and emotional experience for those who partecipate in the project such as for the client who follows the birth of the car in each phase. Evantra V8 was not born to please everyone, instead to be herself and to generate emotions with her character and exclusivity”.

Luca Mazzanti

mazzanti-evantra

Engine:

The Evantra’s “mechanical heart” is an aluminium V8, naturally aspirated 7.0 L. which is capable of developing  701 Hp @ 6600 rpm and 848 Nm @ 4500 rpm. The engine has a compression ratio of 11:1, a dry sump lubrification system, and valves, connecting rods in titanium.

Style:

The design of the Evantra was created side-by-side by Luca Mazzanti and Zsolt Tarnok (Mazzanti automobili chief designer), with the concept of perfect equilibrium of classical and modern. The object was to conciliate elements difficult to harmonize to each other: a personal concept that is absolutely out of todays market trends, a really precise and tipically italian stylistical identity and a powertrain with ” absolute” performance are perfectly united in forms and function. The smooth surfaces, the classicaly shaped fenderlines come from the traditional classic cars which influenced most the past creations. For the styling of the Evantra a modern and a bit more aggressive appearance was desired, so in the details more modern solutions were used. Such parts are the shape of the lights with the modern LED lights, and the precise and neat outlines and connections of the air inlets and outlets around the car. These virtually different concepts have been merged together in harmony to create this unique supercar, Evantra.

mazzanti-evantra-12

Body:

The body is a 2 seat coupe. The bodywork is produced in two different options, the first called PRO-BODY: made of carbon fiber composite materials; or the second, called ONE-BODY: entirely hand crafted, all aluminum body, personalized by the client. With this option the client can have a project dedicated exclusively to the single vehicle, virtually building a One-off.

mazzanti-evantra-16

Characteristics & performance :

The performance of the Evantra V8 equipped with a 6-speed sequential gearbox arrives up to the maximum velocity of over 350 Km/h with an acceleration of 0-100 in 3.2 seconds. The aerodynamic development process was realized in partnership with Ysim, a company with notable experience in F1 and Le mans. Sila holding industrial, leader company of gearshift systems has developed a special version of its robotized gearshift system “silatronic” for Mazzanti. The power of the Evantra V8 is transferred onto the tarmac thanks to special high performance tyres from Continental 255/30 R20 front and 305/25 R20 rear, mounted on special 20″ OZ alloy wheels.  The braking system comes from Brembo, formed by 380mm discs with 6 piston calipers in the front and 360mm discs with 4 piston caliper is the back (carbon-ceramic system is optional).

Well what can I say, I want one, yes I do.

congratulation on this new superb machine,  and for more information please go to:  http://goo.gl/jQoFBZ

I leave you with this.
